Amoxicillin Capsules are a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections.

Uses

• Respiratory tract infections: Sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia
• Ear infections: Otitis media
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Dental infections
• H. pylori eradication (as part of combination therapy)
• Gonorrhea and certain STIs
• Prophylaxis for bacterial endocarditis (in high-risk dental/surgical procedures)

Dosage:

• Adults and children >12 years: 500 mg every 8 hours or 875 mg every 12 hours, depending on the infection
• Severe infections: Dose may be increased (e.g., 1 g every 8 hours)
• Take with or without food (food does not affect absorption)
• Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew unless specified
