Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling in conditions.

Dosage:

• Adults: 7.5 mg once daily (can be increased to 15 mg per day if necessary).
• Elderly or those with kidney issues: Lower doses may be recommended.
• Not recommended for children under 16 years unless prescribed by a doctor.

Side Effects:

• Stomach pain, indigestion, nausea
• Headache, dizziness
• High blood pressure
• Rare but serious: Stomach ulcers, kidney problems, allergic reactions

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol (increases risk of stomach ulcers).
